      Jean H. Tibbetts, M.D. graduated Cum Laude with honors from Williams College. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine. Her postgraduate medical training took place at Rhode Island Hospital and Tufts New England Medical Center. She has completed numerous advanced training courses and symposiums specific to the specialty of Ophthalmology. Dr. Tibbetts has been in private practice for more than 20 years. She is on the active staff of both local hospitals, serving as Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Joseph's Hospital. She is a clinical instructor in Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Tibbetts is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, belongs to numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

      * David T. Douglass, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Ferris State University College of Optometry. He also received undergraduate degrees in Vision Science and Ophthalmic dispensing from Ferris State University. Dr. Douglass has served on the Maine Optometric Association's Board of Directors for several years and currently is serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Association. He joined Eye Center Northeast in 1989 to provide primary eyecare, including specialty contact lens fitting and treatment of ocular diseases. He regularly attends courses and symposiums related to providing the most updated Optometric services and techniques. Dr. Douglass is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the New England Council of Optometrists.
